Unfortunately, not all Android Wear models can upgrade to Wear OS 3. The upgrade requires significant hardware and software changes, limiting compatibility to newer devices. Here's the current list of eligible models:
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 series
Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 (GPS, Ultra, LTE), TicWatch E3
Google Pixel Watch
Montblanc Summit 3
Diesel Griffed Gen 6
Citizen CZ Smart Gen 2
Important notes:
Some older TicWatch models were promised the upgrade but experienced delays. As of October 2023, those updates are currently rolling out.
Popular brands like Fossil and Skagen, as well as earlier Mobvoi models like the TicWatch Pro 2020, are unfortunately not eligible for Wear OS 3.
